All Villas (front view)
Throughout the entire Victorian era, the northern side of Bournemouth's Westover Rd was graced with a collection of 16 elegant villas, built in the 'Italianate' style fashionable at the time.
Known collectively as 'The Westover Villas', most survived into the 20th century, but by the mid 1930s they had all been replaced by the buildings we know today.
Perhaps a little surprisingly for such elegant buildings, there seem to be relatively few photographs of the Villas?
For some, there don't appear to be any close up shots at all!
